Salary Range: $95,000 +

Job Summary:

Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is seeking to hire a Development & Campaign Director to join our Advancement team. The position has two primary responsibilities:

1. Lead Milwaukee Habitat’s $18M capacity-building campaign, in partnership with outside counsel, to fortify Milwaukee Habitat’s reputation and presence within the community by achieving consistent and lasting growth. 

2. Lead annual major gift strategy, including a particular focus on donor prospecting and growing the donor pipeline. 

Working with the VP of Advancement and professional staff, the Development & Campaign Director will ensure that individual fundraising strategies are aligned to achieve short- and long-term success. The ideal candidate will be a talented fundraising professional with a solid track record building deep donor relationships. The successful candidate will be a strong, collaborative leader, skilled at motivating the staff, board, and campaign volunteers to engage their own portfolios of donors. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Fundraising Goals and Strategy - Ensure that both annual and campaign goals are achieved. The successful candidate will create and implement sound major gift and campaign strategies, assure a pipeline of major gift prospects is identified, and that appropriate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies are implemented.

Direct Fundraising - Build a donor pipeline and identify appropriate strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. The Development & Campaign Director will be responsible for a portfolio of 25-45 current and prospective donors, with a focus on campaign gifts of $100,000+. 

Campaign Committee Management - Work with organizational leadership and outside counsel to staff and support the committee as they enlist the board of directors and other volunteers in campaign activities.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Five or more years successful senior nonprofit experience, including direct supervision of fundraising staff, budgeting, and reporting results to internal and external audiences.

Proven ability to manage a portfolio of major donors and successfully cultivate, solicit, and steward donors making gifts of $100,000 and above.
