Memo from AFP Southeastern WI Chapter President Nancy Seidl Nelson

head shot of Nancy Seidl NelsonHappy New Year!

Hopefully year-end efforts were fruitful, holidays enjoyable and now we all ready to move forward into 2017 with renewed energy, high hopes and solids plans for success.

As your Chapter President, I hope that AFP and all we have to offer is part of your plans for networking and education in the coming year. I come into this role with a strong desire to better our chapter and a deep gratitude for what this profession and my many peers met through AFP have meant to me.

I am grateful to our Education Committee for having nearly a full-year of programming set to help our members learn and achieve their goals.  I invite you to visit our website to check out our great schedule and get those dates on your calendar.

I am grateful to our Scholarship Committee for their efforts to review and select three great candidates for our Chamberlain and Chapter Scholars.  See the article included in this update to learn more about our scholarship recipients.

I am grateful to the members of our Board of Directors and volunteer subcommittees for their continued involvement in our many chapter efforts.  I am especially pleased to welcome Doug Diefenbach of Diefenbach Communications and Michael Frohna, CFRE from the Blood Center of Wisconsin as our newest board members. Both were approved this week at our board meeting and fill the open positions of Secretary and at-large member respectively.

Member value is our focus and can be found in the many opportunities for engagement and involvement. I encourage you to take full advantage of your membership and truly look forward to serving our chapter this year.

Best,
Nancy Seidl Nelson, President
