Job Summary:

The Events & Community Engagement Manager is responsible for all aspects of the yearly Milwaukee Stars Merengue signature event; annual donor & external events; benefactor stewardship/reporting and volunteer engagement. With a donor-centered focus, this position engages donors, potential donors, volunteers, and students to achieve yearly targeted fundraising and stewardship goals.

 RESPONSIBILITEIS:

  • Develop a working knowledge of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School’s Catholic, Jesuit mission in general, and funding priorities specifically, to articulate a compelling case for support to various constituents.
  • Develop strategy and execute CRJ’s signature event. Effectively manage event logistics, vendor negotiations/ contracting/relations, and budgets/expenses while developing concepts, themes and formats that increase supporters, increase brand awareness, and grow revenue to meet yearly budgeted targets.
  • Plan and execute external facing events that support the stewardship and retention of donors & volunteers. 
  • Recruit, manage, and engage volunteers and student ambassadors group to meet department goals.
  • Responsible for calling prospective donors/sponsors to solicit support. Use a CRM database to maintain prospect lists, accurate contact information and outreach efforts. 
  • Successfully track event success, KPI, and strategic initiatives for the Board.
  • Work with a team to  submit proposals and impact reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission of the school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of event planning/execution, fundraising, or sales experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, detail orientation, analytical, and written /oral communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; familiarity with donor database systems – DonorPerfect & BetterUnite a plus
  • Flexibility in scheduling with occasional evenings and weekends necessary
  • Desire and ability to support the Catholic and Ignatian character of the school
