REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH

Job Announcement

Director of Development

Full-time, hybrid position

The Repairers of the Breach (ROTB) is seeking its first full-time Development Director to plan and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to help the organization continue its growth and expansion in the near future.  ROTB is Greater Milwaukee’s only daytime refuge and resource center for homeless adults open 6 days per week. ROTB believes that offering lifesaving, life-sustaining, and life-restoring programs is key to self-reliability.

The Director of Development is responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of all donors to the organization. This includes the design and implementation of an annual resource development plan that includes fundraising efforts in direct mail solicitation, special events, organizational solicitation, and individual donors. Works closely with the Executive Director and other teammates to secure philanthropic investments to support the organization’s programs and services.

Applicants need at least a bachelor’s degree and fundraising experience with a diverse, community-based nonprofit organization.  Requires strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with volunteers, staff, donors, prospects, and the public and to represent the organization to external organizations in a professional manner.  Requires sensitivity to and understanding of the special needs and the appropriate support for the homeless community.

ROTR’s daytime sanctuary is an empowering place where homeless and at-risk men and women can get the resources they need to get back on track. Whether it be food and clothing for the short-term, or education for the long-term, we are here to provide as many resources as we can, and we proudly partner with many other programs to ensure everyone gets the tools they need.

This position will offer an opportunity for a development professional early in their career who is ready to step into a role with greater responsibility and a broad array of duties. This is an exempt, professional, full-time, hybrid, remote position with a salary range of $65,000 to $95,000 per year.  Salary will be commensurate with education, experience, and skills.
