About the Event

AFP’s I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Access) initiative aims to create a fundraising profession that is not only diverse but also inclusive and equitable.

Kick off 2022 by making the commitment to incorporate the concepts of inclusion, diversity, equity and access into your work life.

We invite you to listen to this lively conversation between Vu Le, of the blog NonprofitAF, and Amy Eisenstein and Andrea Kihlstedt, of Capital Campaign Toolkit, about community-centric fundraising practices and hear how Vu Le thinks fundraising practices should change to become grounded in social equity.

Vu Le’s views have been described as “controversial” and in many ways go against the fundraising norms that the profession has held on to for decades.  So we want to hear from you.  Join us to discuss what you think about the community-centric fundraising movement.  You’ll also have a chance to share what commitments you’re making in 2022 to advance IDEA principles in your own work and what questions you would like to discuss in the next year.

We will meet on the second Thursday of the month at 9 AM to discuss what we have been learning and taking action on through the challenge.  Join us in the challenge to promote equity.
