Courageous Conversations for Fundraisers: Combatting Burnout in DEI Efforts

About the Event

Through this open conversation, we welcome participants to delve into the critical intersection of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within organizations and the imperative of promoting employee wellbeing. We'll explore the motivations behind organizational commitments to DEI, the challenges faced by DEI leaders—particularly those from historically marginalized groups—and the impact of burnout and emotional tax on their wellbeing. The discussion will also cover strategies for creating equitable work environments, engaging allies in DEI efforts, and fostering continuous learning and development in the fundraising profession. Through these topics and a conversation that’s welcome to all, we aim to identify actionable steps to support the wellbeing of employees while advancing DEI goals.
