Mentoring Program

Veteran Advice - Focused on You!

The mission of the AFP—Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter is to develop fundraising professionals, advance the profession, and inspire a culture of philanthropy in our communities.

The Chapter's mentor program is key to fulfilling the mission.

TIME COMMITMENT

The time commitment and expectations of being a Mentor/Mentee are minimal, but what we learn from each other is invaluable. We suggest you try to meet or at least chat by phone once a quarter. Conversation topics are completely up to the Mentor/Mentee, but suggestions will be given if needed. We expect the Mentee to be in charge of scheduling the face-to-face meetings or phone conversations with the Mentor. Additional information and suggestions will be shared in follow-up emails and at the kick-off.

TIMELINE

The 2025-2026 mentor program application period will be open from June 15 to July 15, 2025. The mentor program will kick off in mid-September; the exact date will be shared with participants in early August.

The mentor program will run from mid-September to mid-May.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be an AFP Global and AFP-SEWI member in good standing throughout the program.
