Salary Range: $58,000 - $60,000
Job Summary:
The Institutional Giving Manager/Grant Writer will support the annual giving campaign of Milwaukee Rep by working closely with the Director of Annual Giving to execute a comprehensive campaign including the individual and institutional campaigns. The Institutional Giving Manager/Grant Writer will report directly to the Director of Annual Giving (DAG).
Major Responsibilities Include:
- Collaboratively develop and execute the annual giving campaign with DAG and assume those responsibilities assigned by the DAG, while maintaining primary responsibility for the institutional portion of the campaign
- Support Institutional Giving program by writing grant applications to corporate and family foundations, local, regional and national government funding agencies, in support of Rep programming. Future priority will be given to submitting funding proposals to various national foundations that support theater as well.
- Maintain Annual Giving tracking reports, creation of Annual Impact Report.
- Work with Development Database Manager to cull prospect and donor lists, analyze giving trends, and research potential prospects amongst Rep patrons to provide broadest solicitation opportunities for annual campaign.
- Support ongoing donor cultivation/relations and stewardship program.
- Work with the DAG to support the annual UPAF Campaign.
- Manage the creation of Drama Ink, Milwaukee Rep’s donor newsletter, including content creation and collaboration with external copy editors in conjunction with the DAG.
- Support all other Development activities, events, and programs on an “as needed” basis
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years experience in successful development program
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management skills/strict adherence to deadlines
- Strong Volunteer support experience
- Knowledge of donor database and Moves Management process
- Ability to analyze and track giving patterns
- Creative problem solver
- Working knowledge of donor tracking software, knowledge of Tessitura preferred
- Knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising principles
- Ability to establish rapport with high level donors and trustees
