About the Event

David Malone, President of McDonald Schaefer and Kim Koch, Sr. Consultant will present on the topic of capital campaigns. Their fast-paced and insightful presentation Dream It. Fund It. Build It. Are you ready for a Capital Campaign? will provide a well rounded understanding of capital campaigns, answering questions such as:

  • How do capital campaigns work as a strategy for major gifts fundraising?
  • How have numerous local nonprofits employed this strategy to raise millions of dollars?
  • What are the fundamentals of campaigns? What does a successful campaign look like?
  • What would your experience be like should you conduct a campaign?

McDonald Schaefer is a fund development consulting firm that started in Milwaukee 25 years ago that specializes in planning, testing and directing multi-million-dollar capital and endowment campaigns. The firm is currently directing their SmartRaise Capital Campaigns throughout WI with goals between $3 million and $30 million, with combined goals of over $80 million.

The firm has worked with numerous local nonprofits including Basilica of Saint Josaphat, Boerner Botanical Gardens, Children’s Hospital, Elmbrook Humane Society, Greater Milwaukee Committee, Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Holy Hill, Kathy’s House, Lutheran Home, MATC, Messmer Catholic Schools, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Riverwest Food Pantry, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, UW-Milwaukee and others.
