AFP member Michelle St. Clair has good things to say about how her donor’s National Philanthropy Day award paid off in stronger relationships and sound stewardship:

“Community Memorial Foundation was proud to nominate a generous benefactor, James H. Basler of West Bend, for the 2017 AFP Leave a Legacy Award Nomination. Mr. Basler, an unassuming millionaire, designated more than $1.2 million to the Emergency Department at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Memorial Hospital in his will.  His gift of a lifetime ensures exceptional emergency care for so many who live in the Menomonee Falls area.

“In the process of recognizing Mr. Basler, the foundation was pleased to bring together leaders, a dear friend of Mr. Basler’s and other donors. We paused to celebrate how philanthropy has impacted the hospital. In doing so, we also deepened our relationships as we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and listened to inspirational speakers.  We received so many intangible rewards with our 2017 AFP award.

“Take a minute to nominate, then celebrate your donors at AFP’s National Philanthropy Day!”
