Our Commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access

Dear AFP Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter Members and Colleagues:

As fundraisers for nonprofits, we all work towards building a stronger and better community. Whether we are addressing poverty, homelessness, health, quality of life, or any other cause, our common goal is to create a better tomorrow for those we serve.

Today we must all take a stand and say Black Lives Matter. We cannot stay silent. We must not stay silent. Today we stand in solidarity with the Black community in the fight against systemic racism, injustice, senseless violence and killings inflicted on Black communities.

We must collectively work to eradicate systemic racism from our world. While these attitudes and practices are not new, courageous people across our community and nation have stepped forward to remind us how intolerable they are. We embrace their message and resolve to no longer sit idly by.

Immediately, AFP Southeastern Wisconsin is donating $1,000 to the NAACP of Milwaukee.

Long-term, AFP Southeastern Wisconsin will remain committed to AFP Global’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) initiative. We strive to have a membership that reflects the community in which we live and work. If you are interested in joining our membership committee or our IDEA committee, please contact us at chapteradmin@afpsewi.org.

We must all work together to create the change that our community, our nation, and our world needs.
