Volunteers - We All Need Them!
As Chapter President, it is always interesting when I get asked how I got to be president. The easy answer, I was asked.
I started my volunteer service to our chapter as Treasurer thanks to having a bookkeeping background in my resume. But more often, the members that serve on our Board come from serving on a committee.
We have many committees that are already working hard to bring you programming, events, member services and communications like this newsletter. We cannot do what we do as a chapter without the many volunteers.
So now I am asking you to please consider volunteering your time to one of the committees that needs support; Education, Membership, Marketing, Fundraising Day Wisconsin, Sponsorship, and National Philanthropy Day. Each of these committees is important to the health of our chapter and are looking for new members.

For an incentive, the United Performing Arts Fund has graciously donated a performance voucher that will be raffled off for those joining a committee in the months of January, February and March. A UPAF voucher is good for two tickets to either First Stage, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Florentine Opera, Milwaukee Rep or Skylight Music Theatre.
