Job Summary:

Lead the charge in securing vital funding for Penfield Children's Center, ensuring we can continue to empower children and families through our life-changing programs. Spearhead a comprehensive grant management program, leveraging your expertise to cultivate relationships and secure funding from diverse sources like local foundations, government agencies, corporations, and more.


  • Strategically cultivate funding opportunities:
    • Secure and cultivate strategic funding partnerships. Establish relationships with potential funders, ensuring alignment with Penfield's mission and impact.
    • Actively research and identify promising government and federal grant opportunities.
    • Proactively research and secure grants. Analyze the funding landscape and identify new opportunities that strengthen Penfield's strategic goals.
    • Develop compelling grant proposals. Write persuasive proposals that resonate with funders, showcasing program effectiveness and compelling outcomes.
    • Collaborate on innovative funding initiatives. Partner with program staff to conceptualize and secure funding for promising new initiatives.
  • Steward grant resources with excellence:
    • Oversee the implementation of awarded grants, guaranteeing adherence to all requirements and deadlines.
    • Meticulously manage budgets and track expenditures, maximizing the impact of each grant dollar.
    • Prepare detailed and transparent reports, demonstrating the positive outcomes achieved through each grant.


  • Develop, write and submit letters of intent, grant proposals and reports to foundations, corporations, government and other public and private grant making organizations
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Penfield Children’s Center to transform ideas into successful grant submissions.
  • Provide leadership for reporting and relationship management with the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County.
  • In partnership with finance and program departments, monitor grant/contract budget process and reporting process.
  • Provide leadership of grant management process across organization.
