Job Summary:
`The Development Director is a relationship-driven, strategic fundraising professional responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on a comprehensive annual fundraising plan. The role manages individual, corporate, grant, and foundation giving, with emphasis on major gifts and growing the $1,000+ donor base. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable building systems and momentum within a small, mission-focused organization. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Lead major gift cultivation and expand the $1,000+ donor group.
- Manage individual giving, annual appeals, sponsorships, and Planned Giving.
- Grow and diversify the donor base and re-engage lapsed supporters.
- Partner on grant calendars, steward funders, and oversee grant proposals.
- Build corporate partnerships and lead quarterly donor events.
Financial & Data Management
- Develop and forecast the contributed income budget.
- Prepare fundraising reports for leadership and the board.
- Ensure accurate gift entry, tracking, and acknowledgment in Tessitura.
Collaboration & Culture
- Serve on the leadership team and support strategic fundraising goals.
- Represent MCT at events and build strong community partnerships.
- Bring a flexible, collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of fundraising experience with major gift and institutional giving success.
- Strong communication, planning, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and mission-driven.
How to Apply:
This is a full-time position supervised by MCT’s Executive Artistic Director. This position is supported by a part-time Grants Manager, with potential for one additional supporting team member.
- Salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
