Seats at the Table: Building and Keeping Your Dream Board

About the Event

Your board plays a critical role in fundraising success, but are you tapping into your full potential to help build and sustain the board your organization needs?

In this panel, we’ll explore how fundraisers and staff can be strategic partners in board recruitment and retention. From identifying strong candidates and cultivating relationships, to helping onboard new members and keeping current ones engaged, we can bring valuable insight and momentum to the process.

We’ll discuss:

  • What makes a well-rounded board
  • Tools and talking points for introducing prospective members to board service
  • How to collaborate with leadership on board development
  • Creative ways to keep board members connected, appreciated, and involved

Whether you’re part of a small shop or a large team, you’ll leave with ideas to strengthen your board relationships and support long-term organizational health.

Join us in Racine!

We’re excited to bring this session to Racine and encourage members from across southeastern Wisconsin to make an afternoon of it! After the workshop, you’re invited to join us for a casual happy hour at Reefpoint Brew House. Drinks and food will be available for purchase, an excellent chance to continue the conversation and connect with peers in a relaxed setting on the lake!

Many thanks to Carolynn Friesch, CEO at United Way of Kenosha County, for moderating and to Gateway Technical College - Racine Campus for hosting this educational session!
