The AFP Foundations for Philanthropy enhance philanthropy and volunteerism through programs of education, research, and service that benefit those who lead, serve and support nonprofit institutions. As fundraisers, we play a key role in our communities, drawing forth and channeling human compassion to serve the common good.
As members of AFP, we gain the knowledge and professionalism needed to fill this role well, and thereby advance our careers.
As donors to AFP, we have an opportunity to help spread that knowledge and professionalism to countless emerging fundraisers – that is, to build our profession and thereby advance philanthropy itself as a cause.
BE the CAUSE is the AFP Foundation’s annual appeal for unrestricted funds to support the four pillars of AFP’s Case for Support. BE the CAUSE funds scholarships, leadership development, education and much more, at the local, national, and international level.
Under AFP Foundation’s Grant Back Program, up to 35% of every donation is returned to the donor’s AFP chapter to support local programming.
