Scholarship Opportunities

The Southeastern Wisconsin chapter’s commitment to education and training is supported by several scholarship opportunities. Applications are accepted throughout the year and are awarded by a committee of the Chapter board.  You must be a member of AFP Southeastern Wisconsin to be eligible for a conference or education scholarship.

AFP is offering $50 off the Professional or Associate membership dues. New members at this level can take advantage of the savings and join our chapter for $290!

$50 Professional & Associate NEW Member Discount! In honor of National Philanthropy Day, AFP is offering a $50.00 discount to NEW Members joining in the Professional and Associate Member categories from October 1st through November 30th.

The discount applies to $50.00 off the International portion of the dues.

#2...Membership Scholarships are Available!

To advance our philanthropy profession and help grow chapter membership, we are offering membership scholarships to qualified individuals to help new members join AFP. This year, scholarships are available for Professional Membership, Small Non-profit Membership, and Young Professional Memberships. The deadline for scholarship applications is November 18th. Scholarships are available to new members only.

2020 AFP International Conference Scholarships Now Being Accepted!

This year's conference will be held in Baltimore, MD on March 29-31, 2020.

Each year, our chapter offers three scholarships to assist chapter members in good standing to be able to attend the Association of Fundraising Professionals International Conference.

Are you interested in attending the world’s largest conference for professional fundraisers where you network with other fundraisers from around the world, hear from profound speakers and industry experts, and visit with a variety of resource partners? If so, apply today for a scholarship to attend the largest annual gathering of your peers!

Three scholarships are available for AFP Southeastern WI members: 

(2) AFPSEWI Chapter Scholarships

  • Provided by AFP Southeastern WI, this scholarship covers the registration fee and travel and expenses up to $2,000.
  • Candidate must be a current AFP SEWI member.

(1) Chamberlain Scholarship: 

  • Provided by AFP Global along with AFP Southeastern WI, this scholarship covers the registration fee (minus a $10 processing fee) plus an additional $1,200 for travel and expenses.
  • Candidate must have never attended an AFP International Fundraising Conference.  New members are encouraged to apply.

2020 AFP International Conference Scholarships Now Being Accepted!

For professionals with 4+ years of fundraising experience, now is the time to take action to become a CFRE in 2020.  To help you prepare, AFP of Southeastern WI is offering the AFP CFRE Refresher Course for the first time in 5 years in Milwaukee in January 2020. Taught by master trainers, this course reviews the six key topics covered in the test.  Register for the two day AFP CFRE Refresher Course.   Scholarship funds will be available to attend this class. The AFP CFRE Refresher Course scholarship application is due by December 16.

2019 Fundraising Day Wisconsin Conference Scholarships

The Southeastern WI Chapter is pleased to offer up to four $160 scholarships for the Fundraising Day Wisconsin Conference at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino on August 22nd.  This educational program is jointly sponsored by the Southeastern WI and Greater Madison AFP Chapters and promises to be a top-notch opportunity to learn from nationally-known presenters and network with area development professionals.

(Note, applicants who do not receive a scholarship will still be granted the early bird rate after June 30th. Registration fees are reimbursed after the conference, so if you plan to attend regardless of whether you receive a scholarship, there is no harm in registering and paying for the conference before scholarships are awarded)
