Two Funders of 100 Women (or More)

Ladies Leveraging Technology to Support You

By Amalia F. Schoone, CFRE, LLC

Throughout my fundraising career, women have come together to support the organizations where I’ve worked, often through auxiliaries or Friends groups.  Lately, women have leveraged advances in social media and technology to upgrade their collective power to support the work we do in the nonprofit sector. Here are two examples:

Impact100 Greater Milwaukee Announces 2020 Grant Application Cycle

Formed in 2015, Impact100 Greater Milwaukee is an organization of women leveraging their collective gifts to award $100,000 grants to nonprofit organizations to strengthen the Greater Milwaukee community. Over the past four years, Impact100 Greater Milwaukee has awarded $1,200,000 to twenty nonprofit organizations through member contributions.

Impact100 Greater Milwaukee invites area nonprofits with revenue between $300,000 to $5 million to attend one of two information sessions on 10:00 am & 1:00 pm at the Blood Research Institute’s Seminar Room, 8733 Watertown Plank Road, Wauwatosa. Each organization can bring up to two representatives to these sessions; registration is required. The letter of inquiry will be due on December 9, with full proposals due on February 27 for those invited to advance further in the process. To register, or for more information, visit the Impact100 website at https://impact100mke.org and you can download details here.
