Development Officers at UW-Whitewater build relationships and secure major gifts from individuals and corporations to serve our over 12,000 students and fund campus innovations in a myriad of ways. We are seeking Development Officers to engage and inspire individual donors (alumni, community members, parents) and a Corporate Development Officer to build philanthropic partnerships with Wisconsin’s corporations, mid-size businesses and private foundations. Development Officers also serve as the Advancement Liaison to one of the Colleges or to various university program areas and are actively involved with alumni programs and events. The CDO will serve as the liaison to UW-W’s acclaimed College of Business and Economics.
We require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years experience in professional fundraising or marketing. Experience in higher education, corporate fundraising for significant non-profit organizations and/or major gift and planned giving is preferred. Evidence of exceptional relationship building skills, strong written and oral communications abilities, and strategic “outside the lines” thinking will be appreciated.
